Our Story

Pic-a-Pair started with a simple intention: to create a healthy Islamic play environment where children could enjoy themselves, ask questions and learn without feeling like they were sitting through a lesson.

The idea came from wanting to make Islamic learning feel natural at home. We wanted a game that children would genuinely want to play, while gently encouraging them to notice symbols, words and images connected to Islam.

Each image in Pic-a-Pair Islam Edition has been chosen because it carries a link to Islam, Islamic history or everyday Muslim life. From the Kaaba and Zamzam to dates, prayer, charity and reminders of Jannah, the game gives families a way to turn play into conversation.

Pic-a-Pair is suitable for family play, small group activities, madrasah sessions and school environments. It is designed to be simple enough to pick up quickly, but meaningful enough to support discussion.

How to Play

Here are two games you can play.

Game 1 — Collect the most cards

  1. Give each player one card face down.

  2. Put the rest of the cards in the middle facing up.

  3. Turn your card over, match one image on your card with the centre card and shout it out.

  4. The fastest person takes the centre card and adds it to their pile.

The winner is the person with the most cards.

Game 2 — Get rid of your cards

  1. Deal all the cards except one, which goes in the middle.

  2. Match one image on your top card with the centre card, shout it out and add it to the middle pile.

The winner is the first person to get rid of all their cards.
